Had a really enjoyable time recently running a day’s workshop for the senior management population of the South Yorkshire Police Special Constabulary. Over 40 people attended and put lots of energy and enthusiasm into the day. We looked at available skills, developed presentation styles, examined the culture and leadership of the Specials (Thanks to Special Constabulary Chief Officer Mark Munnoch for his attendance and support) and then analysed the issue of how to retain experienced and trained people within the Special Constabulary. All in all a really good day.
